These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the website, booking tools, and massage and bodywork services provided by Bespoke Bodyworks LLC ("Bespoke Bodyworks," "we," "us," or "our"), located in Stamford, Connecticut. By visiting this website, booking an appointment, or receiving a treatment, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not book or use our services.
1. Services
Bespoke Bodyworks provides therapeutic massage and soft-tissue bodywork, including integrative, deep tissue, prenatal, and postpartum sessions, performed by a Connecticut-licensed massage therapist. Session descriptions, durations, and rates are listed on our Services page and within our booking system, and may be updated from time to time. The treatment plan for any given session is determined by the therapist in consultation with you, based on your stated goals and health history.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to book an appointment. Clients under 18 may be treated only with the written consent of a parent or legal guardian, and a parent or legal guardian must remain present for the entire session.
3. Booking & Cancellation Policy
Appointments are reserved exclusively for you. To ensure the highest level of service for all clients, the following policies apply:
- A valid credit or debit card on file and a 30% deposit are required to secure all appointments.
- A minimum of 24 hours' notice prior to your scheduled treatment start time is required for cancellations or rescheduling requests.
- Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice will result in the forfeiture of the 30% deposit.
- Clients who arrive late may receive a shortened session to accommodate other scheduled appointments; however, the full service fee will still apply.
- Clients who fail to arrive for their appointment without notice ("no-shows") will forfeit their 30% deposit, and future appointments may require prepayment at the discretion of Bespoke Bodyworks LLC.
By completing your booking, you authorize Bespoke Bodyworks LLC to charge the card on file for applicable deposits, cancellation fees, and any outstanding balances in accordance with these policies.
Cancellation and rescheduling requests should be made through your booking confirmation link, by phone at (203) 903-9691, or by email at jordan@bespokebodyworksct.com. Notice is effective when we receive it, not when it is sent.
4. Payment & Rates
The deposit is applied to the total cost of your service, with the balance due at the time of your appointment. All prices are in U.S. dollars and are subject to change; the rate shown at the time you book is the rate that applies to that appointment. We accept major credit and debit cards and other payment methods displayed at checkout. Gratuity is never expected and always appreciated, and is not included in the listed service price.
5. Packages, Series & Gift Certificates
Prepaid packages, session series, and gift certificates are non-refundable and non-transferable for cash. Individual appointments booked under a package or gift certificate remain subject to the booking and cancellation policy in Section 3, and a late cancellation or no-show may be deducted from the remaining balance. Any expiration terms will be stated at the time of purchase and applied consistently with Connecticut law.
6. Founder's Package
The Founder's Package is a limited-time prepaid offering of 300 minutes of treatment time for a one-time payment of $600. The following terms apply in addition to Section 5:
- Redemption. Minutes may be applied to any standard session length from 60 to 180 minutes, subject to availability, until the balance is used.
- Balance tracking. We track your remaining minute balance, and you may request your current balance at any time. Our records are the authoritative record of the balance.
- Partial balances. If the minutes remaining are fewer than the length of the session you book, the package covers the remaining minutes and you are responsible for paying separately for the additional time at our then-current rates. For example, if 30 minutes remain and you book a 90-minute session, the package covers 30 minutes and the remaining 60 minutes are billed to you. That balance is due at the time of service.
- Deposit waiver. Founder's Package clients receive a coupon code to apply at booking, which waives the 30% deposit that would otherwise be required to reserve the appointment. General coupon terms are in Section 7; where they conflict with this section, the terms of this section govern Founder's Package bookings.
- Transferability. The package is transferable and may be shared with family and friends. Anyone redeeming package minutes must complete their own intake form and is bound by these Terms, including the health-disclosure requirements in Section 9. The package may not be resold or exchanged for cash.
- Cancellations. Because no deposit is collected at booking, the deposit-forfeiture rule in Section 3 is applied to your minute balance instead. A cancellation with less than 24 hours' notice, or a no-show, will result in 30% of the booked session's minutes being deducted from your remaining balance — for example, 27 minutes on a 90-minute booking. Cancellations or reschedules made with at least 24 hours' notice deduct nothing.
- The package is non-refundable once purchased. Any expiration date will be stated at the time of purchase.
7. Promotional Codes & Coupons
We may issue coupon or promotional codes from time to time, including the deposit-waiver code provided with the Founder's Package. Unless we state otherwise in writing:
- Usage limits are set by us and stated when the code is issued. Codes are generally valid for a single use, but we may issue codes redeemable more than once, or on other terms, at our sole discretion. Codes may not be duplicated, resold, or shared beyond the terms on which they were issued.
- Cancellations follow the policy in Section 3. If you cancel or reschedule an appointment booked with a code and give at least 24 hours' notice, the code is reinstated or replaced so you do not lose its value. If you cancel with less than 24 hours' notice, or do not show, the code is forfeited in the same way a deposit would be.
- A deposit-waiver code waives only the deposit required to reserve the appointment. It does not reduce the price of the service, and any balance owed remains payable at the time of service.
- Codes carry no cash value, may not be combined with other offers unless expressly permitted, and cannot be applied retroactively to a completed booking.
- We reserve the right to decline, void, or cancel any code that is expired, invalid, obtained in error, or used in a manner inconsistent with these Terms, and to charge the applicable deposit or balance where a code is voided.
8. Rescheduling by Bespoke Bodyworks
In the rare event that we must cancel or reschedule your appointment due to illness, emergency, or circumstances beyond our control, we will notify you as soon as possible and offer you the first available alternative time or a full refund of your deposit. No cancellation fee will apply.
9. Health Information & Your Responsibilities
Safe treatment depends on accurate information. You agree to:
- Complete our intake form honestly and completely before your first session;
- Disclose all relevant medical conditions, injuries, surgeries, allergies, medications, and pregnancy status, and update us if anything changes between visits;
- Communicate during the session regarding pressure, comfort, and any pain or discomfort you experience; and
- Obtain clearance from your physician where a condition makes massage potentially contraindicated.
Certain conditions may require us to modify, postpone, or decline treatment for your safety. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide.
10. Medical Disclaimer
Massage and bodywork are provided for stress reduction, relief of muscular tension, and general wellness. They are not a substitute for medical examination, diagnosis, or treatment. We do not diagnose illness or injury, prescribe medication, perform spinal manipulation, or provide chiropractic or physical therapy care. Nothing on this website or communicated during a session constitutes medical advice. Always consult a physician or other qualified healthcare provider regarding any medical condition or before beginning any new treatment.
11. Professional Conduct
All services are strictly therapeutic and non-sexual. Any solicitation, suggestive remark, or inappropriate behavior will result in immediate termination of the session, forfeiture of the full session fee, permanent refusal of future service, and, where appropriate, a report to law enforcement. Draping is used at all times, and you may decline or stop any technique at any point during your session.
12. Right to Refuse or Discontinue Service
We reserve the right to refuse, modify, or discontinue service at any time, including where a client arrives under the influence of alcohol or drugs, presents a contraindication to treatment, behaves inappropriately, or where treatment would be unsafe for the client or the therapist. If you are experiencing a fever, contagious illness, or open skin infection, please reschedule; we will waive the late-cancellation fee for a good-faith illness cancellation made as soon as you are aware.
13. Personal Belongings
Please keep valuables with you. Bespoke Bodyworks LLC is not responsible for the loss of or damage to personal property brought to an appointment.
14. SMS Communications
By providing your phone number, you agree to receive SMS communications regarding your appointments and inquiries, including appointment reminders and scheduling updates. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP, or reply HELP for assistance. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
15. Privacy
Information you provide to us, including health information collected through intake forms, is handled as described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
16. Website Content & Intellectual Property
All content on this website, including text, photographs, graphics, and logos, is the property of Bespoke Bodyworks LLC or its licensors and is protected by copyright and trademark law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use our content for commercial purposes without our prior written permission. Website content is provided for general informational purposes and may be updated or corrected at any time.
17. Third-Party Services
Our booking, payment processing, and messaging are handled in part by third-party providers. Your use of those services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability, content, or practices of third-party platforms or of any external website we link to.
18. Assumption of Risk & Limitation of Liability
You acknowledge that massage and bodywork may involve temporary soreness, bruising, or similar minor effects, and you assume the ordinary risks associated with treatment. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bespoke Bodyworks LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or relating to your use of this website or our services. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability for gross negligence or willful misconduct.
19. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Bespoke Bodyworks LLC and its owner, employees, and contractors from any claim or demand arising out of your breach of these Terms or your failure to disclose material health information.
20. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Fairfield County, Connecticut. We encourage you to contact us first so we can attempt to resolve any concern directly.
21. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, that provision will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
22. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last Updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of this website or booking of services after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. The policy in effect at the time you book governs that appointment.
